Poole Park and Upton Country Park have achieved Green Flag status plus Green Heritage Site Accreditation.

This free community event attracted hundreds of people to Poole Park to remember loved ones who are no longer with us.

Police are appealing for the owners of the dog to come forward and any witnesses to the incident on Thursday 17 April.

BCP Council will hold two committee meetings to decide whether or not the Whitecliff gate entrance to the park should be closed to motor vehicles.

The public are being asked to comment on a trial to close the gates at the Whitecliff Road and Twemlow Avenue entrance.

Poole Park was the setting for the event in which people walked, jogged, ran or danced their way around a five-kilometre course.

Local people have been watching the work with interest, and there is the opportunity to become a volunteer once it has opened.

The railway was closed in 2018, but work is to start this week to bring the service back in the spring next year.
