An age-old tradition dating back to 1364 will be revived this summer with the Beating the Sea Bounds of Poole.
The historic tall ship ‘Galeon Andalucia’ will be docking at Poole Quay for a six-day exhibition from 30 July until 5 August.
Cash strapped BCP Council is to continue to fund a number of events but requires business support for some others.
Running from 25 November to 2 January, the free show will light up a display from Poole town to the Quay.
Bournemouth’s Christmas Tree Wonderland and the new Poole Christmas Maritime Light Festival are lighting the way to Christmas and the New Year, thanks to BCP Council.
The new festival with a maritime theme runs from 19 November until 2 January, with lights throughout the town and at sea.

A great deal of fun was had by all in the hot summer sun at Poole Goes Vintage festival along Poole Quay on 9 and 10 July.
