As a token of thanks, volunteers at Poole Lifeboat Station have been awarded a special commemorative Platinum Jubilee medal.
Among the Dorset care homes celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee were those belonging to the not-for-profit charity, Care South.

It was a busy extended weekend (2-5 June) with street parties galore, picnics, lighting of beacons, entertainment and events as the public marked the Queen’s 70-year reign.
To be featured in the pageant on 5 June, 15 students from Arts University Bournemouth designed the sari.
The Jubilee bus will be taking passengers across the area to promote travel to Boscombe, Southourne and Westbourne.
Held at Carvers Recreation Ground, there will be entertainment from 11.30am including music, dancing and a miniature railway.
West Moors Town Council has been busy delivering party boxes to local care homes to help them celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
Yellow bus fares will be reduced dramatically over the Jubilee weekend for those quick to take up the offer.
