Works will take place from 20 May and last for 20 weeks, during which time there will be a number of road closures.
National Highways has given notice of A31 overnight road closures at Ringwood from 7-9 May on the westbound carriageway and on 10 May eastbound.
Work to inspect, upgrade and repair Sopley Bridge in Christchurch is set to be carried out by BCP Council next week.
There will be road closures and diversions as the Gervis and West Howe roundabouts in Bournemouth are to be resurfaces this month.
With an area already gridlocked in places by roadworks, BCP Council has given advanced notice of upcoming major works on the A338 Wessex Way.
Work starts next week and will continue for around three weeks, so motorists should allow extra time for their journeys.
Works will be taking place at the end of January, necessitating the closure of Hengistbury Head road, but there will be access on the west side.
The event is taking a route from West Bay, Dorchester, Wareham, Blandford and Wimborne to Ferndown on Saturday 10 September.
To tie in with new cycle routes, work is to begin at the end of May to upgrade pedestrian facilities along Rigler Road.
