The council says that it is deferring some road surfacing treatments to spring and summer next year because of seasonal constraints.

Resurfacing works will close parts of Holdenhurst Road next week as second phase of a £2 million highways maintenance programme begins.

People who have complained about road surfaces in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole will be pleased to hear that improvements are on the cards.

There will be road closures and diversions as the Gervis and West Howe roundabouts in Bournemouth are to be resurfaces this month.

This is the first time the event has come to Dorset and so the council is including nine sites in its resurfacing programme.
