Work to inspect, upgrade and repair Sopley Bridge in Christchurch is set to be carried out by BCP Council next week.
With an area already gridlocked in places by roadworks, BCP Council has given advanced notice of upcoming major works on the A338 Wessex Way.

Works will be taking place at the end of January, necessitating the closure of Hengistbury Head road, but there will be access on the west side.
Motorists are advised to allow extra times for their journeys and to avoid travelling at peak times during the three-week works.
Works to provide the shared cycle and walking path along Queen Anne Drive and Magna Road have been completed up to Knighton Lane.
As the works move into the next phase, motorists can expect delays to their journeys with diversions in place.
Work will start in October to construct walking and cycle paths in Wimborne Road from Cobham Road to West Moors Road.
