Major works on A338/Wessex Way commence this weekend

Work starts next week and will continue for around three weeks, so motorists should allow extra time for their journeys.
Works will be taking place at the end of January, necessitating the closure of Hengistbury Head road, but there will be access on the west side.
Motorists are advised to allow extra times for their journeys and to avoid travelling at peak times during the three-week works.
Works to provide the shared cycle and walking path along Queen Anne Drive and Magna Road have been completed up to Knighton Lane.
As the works move into the next phase, motorists can expect delays to their journeys with diversions in place.
Work will start in October to construct walking and cycle paths in Wimborne Road from Cobham Road to West Moors Road.
To tie in with new cycle routes, work is to begin at the end of May to upgrade pedestrian facilities along Rigler Road.
BCP Council warns that traffic delays will be inevitable when work begins on the green travel route on Monday 16 May.
Motorists will have to allow extra time for journeys when work begins on new cycle paths between Denmark Lane and the New Inn junction in May.
