The annual Surviving Winter Appeal, which helps older people in fuel poverty run by a local charity, Dorset Community Foundation, completed at the end of March and raised just under £25,000.
Television and radio presenter Valerie Singleton, best known for presenting the Blue Peter series in the 1960s, is backing the Surviving Winter Appeal which raises donations from unwanted winter fuel allowances to help local older people in fuel poverty.
