People in Dorset can join The Big Help Out on Monday 8 May to celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III.

With volunteer numbers depleted following the pandemic, it is hoped the event on Bank Holiday Monday will encourage more people to come forward.
Over 160 volunteers and guests attended the Volunteer Centre Dorset’s Volunteer Celebration Evening – the ‘volunteering equivalent of the Oscars’.
A group of organisations under the umbrella of The Dorset Together Network are working towards giving the refugees a warm welcome.
Organised by Volunteer Centre Dorset, you could welcome visitors at a variety of coastal and inland places of interest across the county.
Dorset residents are being urged to step forward and volunteer to be part of the community response to COVID-19 as cases start to rise nationally again.
This is Volunteers Week, and normally it would be celebrated with garden parties, cream teas and other social events.
