There has already been one fire in Wareham Forest this week, and Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service hope to avoid another.
The fire, which devastated an area the size of over 230 football pitches, started one year ago today, 18 May.
There could be a ban on barbecues on forests, grasslands and protected heathland in Dorset to protect against repeat of fires like the one at Wareham forest last year.
A total of 220 hectares of woodland and heathland was destroyed in the Wareham Forest fire which started on 18 May, and now a video with footage has been released by Litter Free Dorset.
Detectives working with the fire service to investigate a large forest fire near Wareham have confirmed that the cause is not believed to be malicious.
Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service still has around 100 firefighters tackling a huge heath fire affecting some 180 hectares of heath and woodland at Wareham Forest, which started yesterday afternoon (18 May).
