A voluntary club helping to develop lifeguarding will be leasing a purpose-built centre on Bournemouth’s seafront as its new headquarters.

BCP Council is to close the Zig-Zag at West Cliff for five days next week in order for essential maintenance to be undertaken.

This final phase will see three groynes at Middle Chine, Durley Chine and West Cliff zig-zag removed and replaced.

The areas to benefit are Hengistbury Head, Tuckton, Pokesdown, Boscombe, Southbourne, East Cliff, Pier Approach, West Cliff and Westbourne.
