A scarecrow competition has launched in West Moors to raise money for a local school and to encourage motorists to slow down.

A carefully tended garden at a Dorset care home has raised more than £600 for nursing and health charities.

West Moors Town Council has launched a photography competition with the chance to enter four times over a year.

Westival on Fryer Field will feature live music, classic cars and plenty of family-friendly entertainment.
