The festival, which runs until Monday 29 September, has displays featuring various Dorset landmarks and people who feature in the county’s history.

The procession was ahead of the Wimborne Minster Flower Festival entitled ‘The Delights of Dorset’, which runs from 26 to 29 September.

The festival in the Minster Church of St Cuthburga will mark the 900th anniversary of the start of the building as we know it today.
