M&Co staged two fashion shows in Wimborne to raise much needed funds for Wimborne in Bloom’s planting next year.
People flocked to the Allendale Centre in Wimborne to browse the 24 stands at the annual Wimborne in Bloom Charities Fair.
After an absence last year because of Covid restrictions, the event returns to the Allendale Centre on 13 November.
Delayed from June this year, the annual event attracted more than 600 people despite the history festival taking place in the town on the same day.
Wimborne’s floral displays are now looking good thanks to a donation of £2,000 from the Friends of Canford School.
‘Duck’ tickets at £1 each will be on sale outside the Co-Op store in Crown Mead and outside Waitrose in Willow Walk.
Wimborne will look much brighter this year with 150 hanging baskets having been installed plus planting in the flower towers.
For the past 20 years, Wimborne in Bloom has held a duck race on the August Bank Holiday Saturday, but sadly this year’s event scheduled for 29 August has had to be cancelled.
