Get your teddy bears down to Wimborne Model Town this weekend for a grand day out at Bear Weekend including a Teddy Bears Picnic!

Greg Hoar, former general manager of Wimborne Model Town has paid tribute to Nick Clark, manager of the tourist attraction who has sadly died.

A Dorset mother of two has published a children’s book after winning a teddy bear story competition run by Wimborne Model Town.

With the closure of the 70th anniversary season, Iain Stevenson and Greg Hoar have stepped down from the charity attraction.

Halloweenies are still enjoying a special quiz around the buildings of the charity attraction that has celebrated its 70th anniversary.

To mark the attraction’s 70th anniversary, a new miniature model constructed to a 1/100 scale has been completed by volunteers.

In addition to the vintage vehicles visitors were able to listen to a ‘We’ll Meet Again’ tribute ahead of The Queen’s funeral.

Opened in the same year as The Queen acceded to the throne, the charity attraction has had a number of celebrations.

People can enjoy the Model Buildings Weekend from 23-25 July when model making with 3D printers will be explained.
