Take part in 11 activities to help bereaved families
Sadly so many worthwhile causes are being affected by the coronavirus pandemic, with fundraising events cancelled.
Douch Family Funeral Directors made the #Eleven4Eleven campaign for Tyler’s Friends their charity of the year in memory of Tyler Lunn who died 11 years ago after being born prematurely.
The charity supports bereaved families in organising their preferred funeral or memorial for their lost baby or child.
The group is challenging people to take part in its #Eleven4Eleven challenge – by doing sponsored events which include the number 11.
Lakeisha Douch, who is the fifth generation of the family group, said, “Tyler’s Friends is a charity that is very close to our hearts and we wanted to raise lots of money during the year.
“We want people to choose an activity that includes the number 11, such as running 11 miles, baking 11 cakes or creating 11 paintings.
“It would be great if people could upload their efforts on to social media, tagging us in, and using the hashtag #eleven4eleven.
“We are also asking, if possible, could participants make a contribution to Tyler’s Friends through the donation page on our website.
“The bereaved families of children have found the charity extremely helpful in the most difficult of circumstances and the demand for their services continues to grow.”
