Take part in Poole Hospital Charity’s Elf Dash
You will have to take part in this fun event in your own locality but it will certainly brighten up the day for your neighbours!
The neighbours might think you are strange if they spot you – but people are being encouraged to don an elf costume and to dash around their local area or garden.
However it is all in aid of a good cause.
Poole Hospital Charity’s annual Elf Dash is back with a virtual twist.
Taking place on 6 December, the charity aims to raise £25,000 to purchase six special items to benefit different areas around the hospital, as well as fund presents for patients who are in the hospital on Christmas Day.
Sara Fripp, Poole Hospital Charity fundraising manager, said, “We are excited to welcome back our annual Elf Dash, now in its fifth year. Although our festive events can’t take place as usual, we hope that by holding the Elf Dash virtually, participants can still dress up and have a fun filled day.
“We understand how difficult this year has been and we have been overwhelmed with the wonderful support shown for our NHS during these extraordinary times.”
Registration costs £5 and participants will receive a free downloadable race bib to personalise, a certificate and a finisher’s medal. Crackers the Elf will also be giving away a free elf hat to the first 75 participants who raise a minimum of £10 per person.
More information can be found on the Poole Hospital Charity website.
