Talbot Village Trust invites applications for funding
The deadline for applying for funding from the Trust is 31 January with the trustees meeting in the spring.
Talbot Village Trust, which has donated more than £920,000 to 61 charitable causes and community projects this year, is inviting applications for funding with the deadline being 31 January.
During 2022, Talbot Village Trust’s donations amounted to more than £445,000 to community projects such as HealthBus, The Big Issue, Bournemouth Football Club, Poole Refuge Helping Hands, Poole Communities Trust – Branksome Centre and many more.
Almost £300,000 went to educational and youth organisations including Somerford Youth Community Centre, MyTime Young Carers, Priory Primary School, 1st Ferndown Scout Group, Swanage School, and Streetlight Project.
In addition, more than £175,000 in grants went to a large number of faith organisations such as Church of the Good Shepherd in Poole, Upton Methodist Church, St Nicholas’ Church in Southbourne, Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bournemouth.
Nicholas Ashley-Cooper, chairman of Talbot Village Trust, said: “Our purpose is to support organisations in the community that are making changes for the better and help children, young people, adults and the elderly in the area. We are delighted to offer our continued support to worthy causes and next year we will continue to broaden our support for projects that aim to tackle climate change, mental health and wellbeing, and education exclusion.”
The Trust meets biannually and is accepting applications for funding from both previous and new applicants in the area until 31 January before the trustees meet in the spring.
