Sixth form students from Bournemouth’s LeAF Federation – Oak Academy and LeAF Studio – celebrated an excellent set of A-level results on 13 August.
95% of them achieved A* to E grades in the academic subjects studied and a further 100% in vocational courses.
Executive Principal, Gill Blanshard, said: “Our post-16 students have done incredibly well and we are all very proud of their achievements.
“I’d like to praise the hard work, determination and dedication shown by every single one of them.”
Among the success stories were LeAF Studio student Lucy Hurst, who achieved an A in Dance, a B in English Literature and a C in Biology along with outstanding results in Performing Arts and Oak’s Chloe Hanham who scored two Bs in Applied Business and a C in English Language and Literature.
Excellent results were also achieved at AS level, including Oak’s Zac Colbert who achieved an A in Chemistry, a B in Physics and two Cs in Mathematics and Biology.
“We are also delighted that a substantial number of students achieved exceptional results of D*D*D* (Distinction*) in Performing Arts and Sport,” added Gill Blanshard.
