Teenage cyclist injured in hit and run road rage in Poole
Dorset Police would like to speak to anyone who has dashcam footage or witnessed this collision on 9 November.
A 16-year-old male cyclist sustained minor injuries when he was in a collision with a Mercedes car in a road rage incident on a zebra crossing along Dorchester Road at around 4.30pm on Tuesday 9 November.
A number of people stopped at the scene to check on the welfare of the cyclist.
It is reported that the driver of the car did initially stop but failed to provide his details and left the scene a short time later.
Subsequent enquiries have established that the driver did contact the Force soon after the collision to provide their details.
An investigation is underway into the incident.
Police Constable Thomas Henley, of Poole police, said: “I am aware that a number of members of the public stopped at the scene, including someone who may have captured the incident on dashcam. I would ask anyone who has any information or footage in relation to this collision to please contact Dorset Police.”
