Teenage cyclist seriously injured in Poole collision
A 17-year-old, who was riding an electric bicycle, received serious injuries in a collision on Ashley Road.
A teenage cyclist received serious injuries in a collision in Parkstone on Sunday 14 July.
Dorset Police received a report at 5.41pm of a collision involving a white Nissan Juke and an electric bicycle on Ashley Road, near to the junction with Richmond Road.
Emergency services attended and the 17-year-old male cyclist was taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries. His family has been informed.
Road closures were put in place as the emergency responders dealt with the incident and were lifted at around 6.35pm.
Sergeant Richard Stroud, of the traffic unit, said: “We are conducting enquiries to establish the full circumstances of this collision and I am keen to hear from any witnesses who have not already spoken to police.
“I would also urge any motorists with relevant dashcam footage to please contact us.
“Finally, I would like to thank members of the public for their patience and understanding while the road closures were in place.”
