Teenager assaulted by another teenager in Wimborne
The victim didn’t know his assailant and police are hoping that people who came to the aid of the teenager will come forward.
Witnesses are sought following an assault on a 15 year-old boy at Redcotts Recreation Ground at approximately 4pm on Thursday 29 December.
The victim was playing basketball with a friend when they were approached by an unknown male teenager.
It is reported that, following a brief interaction, the teenage boy punched the victim in the face before walking off.
The victim sustained bruising to his eye and a cut to his nose.
The offender is described as white, aged around 15 to 17 years old and approximately five feet eight or nine inches tall. He was wearing a black tracksuit with a green bandana on his head covering his hair and was carrying a large bottle of Fanta Orange.
Police Constable Matt Cutler, of East Dorset police, said: “Our investigation is continuing and we have now obtained a full account from the victim.
“I understand a number of people came to the aid of the victim and I would ask them to please come forward as they may have information to help my enquiries.
“Also, I am keen to hear from anyone who recognises the boy from the description given or knows who may be responsible.”
