The Priest’s House Museum & Garden in Wimborne Minster is hosting an outdoor production of Tess of the d’Urbervilles by Thomas Hardy on Saturday 25 June at 6.30pm. This touring production has been adapted and directed by Charmaine K Parkin and is presented by SISATA Open Air Theatre.
Four actors play multiple roles in what is an enigmatic and fast paced telling of virtue, love and injustice, but above all the impact of this on the human condition. Bringing to life the Wessex of the past and honouring the beautiful countryside where the story takes place, whilst also highlighting the timeless issues that this story presents. However, in true SISATA style there will still be fun, interaction and song to tie together this heart-breaking tale.
Tickets £8.50 (concessions £6.50) are available through Ticketsource (www.ticketsource.co.uk/date/FGEDLH) or by calling the box office on 0333 666 3366 (booking fees apply). Places are limited.
