The East Street Deli, Wimborne is finalist for national award
A local Wimborne business has been selected as a finalist for the national Farm Shop/Deli Awards in the ‘Newcomer’ category.
Along with other regional finalists, The East Street Deli will go through to the final in The Farm Shop & Deli Show 2024 Retailer Awards, championed by Fieldfare and in partnership with The Grocer.
The regional finalists comprise some of the UK’s best loved specialist retailers and champions of great produce and sustainable practice.
A panel of judges came together at Fortnum & Mason in London last November for a day of deliberations and decisions. From this they have created their shortlist of category finalists, whittled down from hundreds of entries, by taking into consideration the achievements retailers have made in the independent sector.
In addition, judges went on to select the Newcomer of the Year finalists. The nine successful new businesses span regions including Anglia, North England, Scotland and South England.
The East Street Deli, founded by Claire and Simon Warren in June 2020, has been providing the people of Wimborne with some of the best in food and drink since the day it opened. It has been chosen as one of just nine finalists for the ’Newcomer’ award for the best Farm Shop/Deli.
Simon said: “Whether we win, lose or draw you can be sure that we are truly humbled to have been listed as a finalist for such a prestigious retail award. A massive thank you goes to everyone that has supported us throughout this journey. We love what we get to do and can’t wait for our trip to the award ceremony.”
Regional winners will be selected from the category finalists on Monday 29 April at The Farm Shop & Deli Show.
