Theft of cash in Bournemouth

Officers in Bournemouth have released a CCTV image of a suspect in connection with a theft in the town.

The incident happened at around 11.35am on Monday 11 April in the Post Office on Christchurch Road.

The victim, a local man aged in his 80s, was withdrawing money in the post office when a man approached him and snatched a quantity of cash from the victim’s hands.

The suspect ran off toward Parkwood Road.

Police Constable Lee Mather, of Bournemouth police, said: “I am releasing a CCTV image of the suspect in the hope that someone can identify him.

“Anyone who has information as to the identity of the man pictured should contact police.”
