Third arrest following Wimborne stabbing
An 18-year-old man from Poole has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following the stabbing of a man in Wimborne on Sunday 26 February.
Although three people have now been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, Dorset Police is keen to receive further information.
Dorset Police was called at around 9.50pm to reports a man had been stabbed at an address in the Leigh Gardens area of the town.
Officers found a man in his 50s had sustained stab wounds. He was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that were believed to be serious but not life-threatening.
Following a search of the area and fast-time enquiries, a 15-year-old boy and a 27-year-old man, both from the Wimborne area, were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. They have now been released on police bail.
An investigation into the incident remains ongoing and detectives from Dorset County CID are continuing to appeal for anyone with information to contact Dorset Police.
