Three people found dead at Swanage care home
Police are treating the deaths as unexplained and the care home’s residents have been evacuated.
Police have revealed that three people were found dead at a care home in Ulwell Road in Swanage today. Four more people have been taken to hospital as a precaution and the other residents of the home have been evacuated to a safe location.
The deaths are being treated as unexplained and an investigation has been launched.
Dorset Police received a report at 7.16am on Wednesday 23 October in relation to three people being found deceased. The families of those who have died have been informed and the coroner has been notified.
Emergency services are responding to the incident, with multiple agencies in place at the address. A cordon is also in place as enquiries are carried out.
In a statement, a police spokesperson said: “At this time, there is nothing to indicate any risk to the wider public.
“We understand this incident will have a significant impact on the Swanage community and our thoughts are very much with the families of those who have sadly died at this extremely difficult time.”
