Was your child born between 1 September 2012 and 31 August 2013? If so, then you need to apply for a school place for September 2017.
Parents can now apply online at www.poole.gov.uk/schooladmissions by the closing date of 15 January 2017.
The Family Information Service can help with the application process and any queries you may have, as well as offering guidance on preparing children for school, out of school childcare and other services available to help. Visit any time between 9am and 5.15pm from Monday to Thursday, and between 9am and 4.45pm on Friday. The Family Information Service can be found in the Welcome Area above Poole Central Library in the Dolphin Centre, with easy access for pushchairs and wheelchairs.
It is recommended that you go and see the schools you might like your child to attend before submitting an application. Most schools hold open days to make it easier to visit your preferences, and meeting the teachers and viewing the school can be invaluable in ensuring you are happy with your child’s journey into school life.
