Earlier this year, Din Of Ecstasy released Traditional Dark the ninth album from songwriter Jinder available on CD and download from all good retailers.
Traditional Dark is a stark, stunning and concise album, showcasing Jinder’s unique brand of dark, storytelling songwriting. The critically acclaimed first single from the album, Boil The World was released in December 2014, and was followed by second single Stations In The Valley in March 2015.
Jinder is a solo artist the former frontman of Sony BMG artists The Mercurymen. His previous release, 2012’s Crumbs Of Comfort’(Universal) saw his music reach a wider audience than ever before, primarily due to major artists such as Aled Jones, Henry Priestman and Lotte Mullan covering Jinder’s songs and label Universal pushing Jinder’s profile into national press.
Since leaving Universal in late 2012, Jinder started his own label, Din Of Ecstasy, and filled a remote Westcountry cottage with analogue recording equipment, recording and producing new album Traditional Dark in 2014 alone and largely by night, the only outside contribution being from drummer Ryan Halsey. The intimacy of these sessions is evident in the dark, emotional and spiritual delivery of songs such as New Maps Of Hell, Stations In The Valley, Song For Jackie Leven and Gathering My Children Home.
