Traditional nativity for Hayeswood First School
Reception and Year 1 pupils at the first school in Colehill put on two performances of a traditional nativity.
Hayeswood First School in Colehill staged a traditional nativity play with Reception and Year 1 putting on two performances for mums, dads and families.
The whole school also enjoyed a ‘Carols under the canopy’ event when everyone’s favourite Christmas tunes were belted out.
Executive headteacher Sharon Staddon said: “We had a wonderful nativity with the two year groups doing a great job.
“It was very well received and parents really enjoyed it – as did the children.
“We were keen to tell the story in a traditional way; it’s hard to improve on a story that has captivated people for nearly 2,000 years.”
The school is part of the Initio Learning Trust whose chief executive Liz West said: “Hayeswood celebrated Christmas in a marvellous way – it embodied all the best things about this time of year.”
