Two men arrested in Bournemouth as part of Operation Viper
Operation Viper is aimed at disrupting county lines drug dealers and the police are urging people to report any suspicious activity.
Officers from the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Neighbourhood Enforcement Team (NET) have been working with the Bournemouth East Neighbourhood Policing Team to target county lines drug dealers.
At around 12.40pm on Saturday 19 November, officers witnessed two men believed to be dealing drugs from a vehicle in Walpole Road.
The men were detained for a search and several bags of suspected cocaine were recovered.
Further searches were conducted at addresses in the area. A 24-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of possessing a class A drug with intent to supply and another Bournemouth man, also aged 24, was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a class A drugs.
Both men have been released under investigation as officers carry out further enquiries.
Police Constable Sarah Webber, of the BCP NET, said: “Under Operation Viper we have carried out a range of proactive work over recent months to disrupt the efforts of those believed to be involved in the supply of class A drugs in our communities.
“These efforts will continue and we will carry on responding to the concerns of residents, whose information helps to guide our targeted patrols.
