Novelists Santa Montefiore and Sophie Kinsella, both former pupils at Sherborne Girls in Dorset, topped May’s Sunday Times Bestseller list, ahead of writers including Hilary Mantel and Marian Keyes.
Sophie Kinsella, who attended Sherborne Girls before going on to read PPE at Oxford, is at number four in the hardback fiction list with her new novel ‘Wedding Night’, and number two in the paperback fiction list with ‘I’ve Got Your Number’, with Santa Montefiore close behind her at number three with ‘The Summer House’.
Says Sherborne Girls Headmistress Jenny Dwyer, “We are really proud to see two old girls on the Sunday Times bestseller list for May. These writers are at the top of their game professionally, and are both incredibly popular and widely read within their genres. We wish them all the success in their writing careers.”
