Two vehicle collision at Ashley Heath
Dorset Police would like to speak to anyone who can give information about the way the cars were being driven before the collision.
A red Sunbeam Alpine and a silver Peugeot 107 collided on the eastbound carriageway of the A31 between St Leonards roundabout and Ashley Heath roundabout at around 5.30pm on Thursday 1 May and police are seeking witnesses.
The drivers of both vehicles were treated by the ambulance service to injuries that are not described as life threatening or life changing.
Police Constable Rhianna Sly, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “I am appealing to anyone who saw the collision, or captured any relevant dashcam footage, to please come forward.
“Also, I am keen to speak to anyone who saw the manner of driving of either vehicle in the moments leading up to the collision.
“Finally, I would like to thank the public for their patience while the road closures were in place as this enabled emergency services to safely treat the injured people and examine the scene.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk, via email at scit@dorset.pnn.police.uk or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 55250061564.
