Unique prize for photographers on FORM in Dorset
Photographers are being invited to submit their best photo taken at 'FORM - The Sculpture Exhibition', at Pallington Lakes near Dorchester for their chance to win a unique prize.
The event is being held by sculptor and owner of the lakes, Simon Gudgeon. There are more than 200 pieces by some 30 top sculptors being exhibited until 16 May and photographers are being invited to submit their best photograph.
Simon and his wife Monique will be judging the entries, and the prize for the winner will be exclusive use of The Island venue at Sculpture by the Lakes with entry for two and the special Tiffin picnic from the Cafe by the Lakes, the on-site café. The prize will also include social media coverage of the winning photo.
To enter the competition, photographers must share their image on social media with the hashtag: #FORM2021.
Simon Gudgeon said: “There are some very unique picture opportunities on offer. We’ve got a polar bear sitting on an iceberg in one of the lakes, swans taking a break on the riverbank, figurative sculptures admiring the views – it’s a photographer’s dream.”
The sculptures are situated across 26-acres of lakes, rivers, gardens, and woodlands – making it one of the biggest sculpture exhibitions in the UK and exhibits, ranging in price from £1,000 to £300,000, will be available to purchase.
Tickets for FORM – The Sculpture Exhibition will be priced at £12.50 – which is the standard price of entry to Sculpture by the Lakes. Due to the scale and space of this outdoor venue, social distancing is very easy to maintain, however, tickets must be booked in advance.
The photography competition allows for one entry per person. Entries close on 16 May at 5pm, with the winner being announced shortly after.
