The search is on for Verwood’s carnival queen and princesses.
The selection will be held at the Verwood Guide HQ in Manor road during the afternoon on Sunday March 22 starting at 2pm. The queen will be chosen first at 2pm followed by the princesses.
The queen will receive a prize of £100 and the princesses will receive necklaces. All will get to choose and keep their dresses.
The carnival queen title is open to girls aged 14 years and upwards and candidates for the two princess must be aged between 9 and 13 years of age.
Of course they must be available to attend the carnival which this year has gone back to Bank Holiday Monday May 25.
