This year’s Rustic Fayre at Potterne Park Verwood didn’t disappoint. The bank holiday extravaganza has grown over the years to become the biggest event in the locality. Each year seems to top the previous one and 2013 could well have been another record-breaker.
Dog agility, Sunshine dance and fitness, Mountainbike aerial display, a Tae Kwondo display by Stephen Lamberth’s students, tug o’ war, terrier racing, egg catching and a balloon release were just the arena attractions. As well as this, there was an enormous vintage vehicle display, a huge car boot sale, a craft marquee, archery, face painting, brass band, steam engines, beer tent, food, ice creams, stalls by the dozen and an extra special flypast by a Spitfire and Hurricane to wow the crowds.
Organised by the Rotary Club of Verwood, the entrance fee cost just £4 per person with free parking.
