The Chairman of East Dorset District Council, Cllr Steve Lugg has chosen a Christmas card designed by a Ferndown Upper School student as his official card.
The student, 17-year-old Amber Turner from Verwood, is the winner of the Chairman’s Christmas card competition with her artwork depicting Christmas market stalls.
The runner-up is 14-year-old Hollyann Stewart, also a Ferndown Upper School student.
They will both be invited to attend the Chairman’s New Year’s Reception on Friday 22 January 2016 to receive their prizes.
Cllr Lugg said: “I was very impressed by the standard of the entries to the Christmas card competition but Amber’s entry was exceptionally good. I am delighted to be using it to send out my seasonal greetings this year.”
