Verwood thanks its residents for respecting social distancing
Verwood Town Council has thanked all residents for respecting the social distancing regulations to stay at home, protect the NHS and Save Lives.
It has also recognised the fantastic community support group that is helping out those who are self-isolating. The contact numbers are widely available on the Verwood Town Council and the Verwood Coronavirus Support Group 2020 Facebook pages or you can contact Verwood Town Council for further information via email at towncouncil@verwood.gov.uk .
The council would like to remind everyone to remain at home over the Easter weekend despite the good weather, and continue the fantastic national effort to control the spread of this virus.
Please remember:
- All parks and council-owned properties are CLOSED until further notice so please do not attempt to access.
- Please do NOT burn rubbish in your gardens – Dorset Council waste collections are continuing as usual with the exception of Garden Waste.
- Please take all dog waste home with you as the dog waste bins are NOT being emptied at this time in order to prioritize home collections.
- Please do NOT travel to go for a walk/run but stay local to your house.
Verwood Town Council continues to function and the staff can be contacted via email at: towncouncil@verwood.gov.uk
