Vintage afternoon tea with Ferndown charity
The Land Girls will be bringing musical nostalgia to a vintage charity afternoon tea event in Ferndown in April.
What could be nicer than a chance to enjoy a vintage afternoon tea? And add in the Land Girls and raising money for charity and you have a winner.
The first event to mark the 15th anniversary of the founding of the Ferndown-based The John Thornton Young Achievers Foundation is a Vintage Afternoon Tea at the Barrington Centre, Ferndown on Saturday 22 April.
Guests will enjoy dainty sandwiches, scones with jam and Rodda’s (the sponsors) Cornish Clotted Cream, cakes and little sweet treats, together with unlimited tea.
Guests will also be treated to a nostalgic trip down memory with the ‘Land Girls’ who sing songs from 1940s from The Andrews Sisters to Vera Lynn and lots in-between.
Tickets are just £12.50 per person, or £15 with a glass of Prosecco, and available from the Barrington Centre https://barringtoncentre.co.uk/events
All proceeds will be supporting local young people, providing them with the financial help they need to achieve their ambitions and really develop as individuals.
