Diverse Abilities, Dorset’s disability charity, is in need of volunteers to take part in the charity’s Christmas tree recycling collections on 9 and 10 January 2016, while helping the charity to raise funds to further support children and adults with disabilities across the county.
Volunteers with or without a van are required and will work in teams to collect Christmas trees from homes in Poole, Bournemouth and East Dorset and deliver to a recycling site.
Fiona Hansford, corporate and community manager at Diverse Abilities, said: “Why not fight the post-Christmas blues with some community spirit and be a part of something great? If you can give your time and/or a van, or know anyone that can, we would love to hear from you. We hope many of the local community get involved and help raise funds for us while recycling as many Christmas trees as we can.”
For those wishing to get their tree collected in January by Diverse Abilities, there will be a suggested donation of £5.
