Volunteers wanted to help with Christmas tree recycling
Diverse Abilities is recruiting volunteers to help with its Christmas tree recycling service.
Sponsored by Waste Management Facilities, the charity will be celebrating 10 years of collecting Christmas Trees from the local community to be sustainably recycled to raise money for the disability charity.
Francesca Potton, community fundraiser said: “We were the first charity in the area to introduce this scheme, and it’s become one of our most important fundraisers of the year and allows us to raise vital money and truly makes a huge difference in our efforts to continue supporting more than 1,600 children and adults with physical and learning disabilities across the county.”
Families and businesses with access to vans, pickup trucks, or buses should contact Francesca on 01202 718266 to discuss how to get involved.
Bookings are now being taken to have your Christmas tree collected on Thursday 9 January until Sunday 12 January 2025 from Poole, Bournemouth, Christchurch, East Dorset and Ringwood. Collections can be booked online for a suggested £10 donation.
