Pop-up vaccination clinics are operating in Dorset but you need to move fast. The autumn/winter booster programme for Covid-19 ends on 12 February – after that, jabs will no longer be available for the remainder of the winter.

Covid-19 is still spreading and topping up your immunity with the latest vaccine offers you the best protection against the ever-changing viruses.

If you are eligible for an autumn/winter vaccination but have yet to receive one, there are lots of opportunities to grab a jab at a location near you.

However, as well as larger community sites based at Kings Park vaccination centre in Bournemouth, Bridport Hospital and the Linden Unit in Weymouth, the Dorset vaccination service is running a series of smaller, pop-up clinics over the next few weeks.

You can walk in to any open clinics to grab your jab or book via the National Booking System.

Dorset vaccination programme clinical lead Dr Ravin Ramtohal said: “With Covid-19 still hanging around, I urge anyone eligible for their winter booster who is yet to get the vaccine to attend a clinic this January or February.

“Topping up your immunity will help you to avoid feeling really poorly if you catch the virus, so you can stay well during these colder months.”

Anyone aged 50 or over, pregnant women, people 16 and over who are severely immunosuppressed or at high risk, and health and social care workers can walk into any vaccination clinic in Dorset, self-declare and receive a vaccination.
