The management at Bournemouth’s Castlepoint Shopping Park have set themselves challenges in a bid to boost funds for Autism Wessex. Whilst other members of the team will keep their challenges at ground level, Castlepoint’s management suite administrator Tanya Hatcher has selected to Wing Walk at Compton Abbas airfield on Sunday 5 July.
Tanya, who admits that her idea of flying is seated comfortably in an airliner going on holiday, says that the thought of being strapped to the top wing of a bi-plane brings a mix of excitement and trepidation.
“People I talk to are all very encouraging but don’t seem to want to try it themselves. I’m fundraising for a good cause and the generosity of friends, family and colleagues should make it worth the experience. Castlepoint has covered the cost of the Wing Walk so every penny of sponsorship will go to Autism Wessex.”

The funds raised will help us to fund essential resources at Portfield School, in particular the installation of an interaction and drama room.”
