Lewis Manning Hospice, Simone Thomas Salon and Hair Loss Bournemouth invite you to don a wig for a day in the name of charity.
As Hairstyle Appreciation Day approaches on Thursday 30 of April, Lewis-Manning Hospice, Simone Thomas Salon and Hair Loss Bournemouth are putting their own twist on the day by asking members of the public to wear a wig in the name of charity instead.
Lewis-Manning Hospice, based in Poole, is a voluntary hospice offering free specialist nursing care to around 700 local people each year living with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses. By asking people to take part in ‘Wear a Wig Day’ they are hoping to raise some much needed funds for the hospice whilst raising awareness about the hospice and the care they provide their patients, many of whom suffer from hair loss.
Simone Thomas Salon and Hair Loss Bournemouth which works closely with Lewis-Manning, will be supporting the hospice by dressing up as characters from the film ‘Grease’, and inviting members of the public to take part in various fundraising activities; including an auction for a movie makeover where one lucky winner will be transformed into a celebrity of their choice with a luxurious facial, manicure and HD Brows, along with the opportunity to take part in a glamorous photo shoot at the beautiful Compton Acres.
People can donate by texting “WIGS15” followed by the amount to 70070.
