A new recognition website has been launched to enable patients, relatives and carers to directly thank those at the Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch hospitals who have made a difference to their care.
The #ThankYou! website was developed following feedback from patients who said they’d like to be able to recognise individuals who go the extra mile. Staff also said they felt proud when they received a ‘thank you’ or compliment and got a ‘buzz’ from knowing they had made a difference to someone’s day.
The positive feedback will be passed directly to staff and their line managers and will be publically celebrated on the website to encourage all staff to exceed expectations and meet their aim of delivering excellent care for every patient, every day, everywhere.
Hospital staff can also use the #ThankYou! to recognise the good work of colleagues, helping to build a positive feedback culture throughout the Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch hospitals and to ensure good practice is shared.
Paula Shobbrook, Director of Nursing and Midwifery, said: “We really care about making your experience at our hospitals as good as it can be, whether this is as a patient, carer, family member or member of staff.
“We want to know when a member of our team has gone ‘the extra mile’ to help you. It means we can say thank you and we can learn from their actions to help us to deliver further improvements.”
The #ThankYou! page can be accessed via the Trust website at http://www.rbch.nhs.uk/thankyou and it takes just a couple of minutes to submit a thank you.
