The Ferndown Remembrance Parade will take place on Sunday 8 November starting at 2.15pm from Peter Grant Way marching to St Mary’s Church in Church Road.
The Parade will be led by the Poole Sea Cadets Band and includes the Wessex Military Vehicles Group and their US Army Marching Detachment to bring the spirit of WW2 to this special year of Remembrance.
This year’s commemorations begins with the launch of the 2015 Poppy Appeal in Ferndown Town Centre at 11am on Saturday 24 October, where the Mayor will buy the first poppy. The Remembrance programme includes services at West Parley on 7 November with West Moors, St Ives and Hampreston in the morning and Ferndown parades in the afternoon that day, before closing with an open-air service at The Royal British Legion building in Church Road at 11am on Armistice day, Wednesday 11 November.
