West Moors concert will benefit air ambulance
The concert at St Martin’s Church on 21 and 22 October will raise funds for Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance.
Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance are to benefit from a concert being held in West Moors at the end of October.
Following the success of last year’s charity concert local singers and musicians, Dianne Tompkins (soprano), Christopher Legrand (bass) and John Porter (accompanist) are joined this year by Margaret Davis (mezzo soprano) and Peter Hardacre (tenor) as well as dancers from the AK Academy of Dancing and special guests Francesco Iannuzzo (tenor and keyboard) and Daniela Ievolo, (saxophone) in a new concert in aid of the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance.
The exciting programme is entitled Plaisir D’amour and will be at St Martin’s Church, in the centre of West Moors on Friday 21 October at 7.30pm and Saturday 22 October at 2.30pm
The Air Ambulance undertook 2,231 missions in the 12 months till April this year.
The varied programme of popular music includes items from Mozart’s Magic Flute, The Tales of Hoffman, West Side Story, Aspects of Love, Showboat, Grease and many other well-known pieces.
