A fire engine will be on standby this Friday (5 December) in West Moors because Santa is arriving in style and it is rumoured that he will need a long ladder. Keep your eyes on the roof of the Elephant and Castle in Station Road and keep those fingers crossed that Rudolph and his reindeer will drop Santa off in good time for the West Moors lights switch on. There will also be carols on the Petwyn organized by the youth club committee and the parish council from 6pm. All this information was made available in West Moors last Saturday (29 November) when the village crier Iain Mitchell woke the village up with his award winning voice.
