Police were called to a flat on Bath Street at around 8am on Sunday 8 November and discovered the body of a 23-year-old man.
A murder investigation was subsequently launched by Dorset Police’s Major Crime Investigation Team.
Yesterday, detectives named the man as Abdal Rahman Al-Rabia, from the London area and who is originally from Jordan.
A post-mortem examination established that Mr Al-Rabia died from a single stab wound to the chest.
His next of kin have been informed and the coroner has been notified.
Three people arrested in relation to the incident, a 16-year-old boy who had previously told police he was 18 years old, a 20-year-old man and a 39-year-old woman have been released without charge.
Detectives are still questioning a 43-year-old man on suspicion of murder.
