Ferndown Upper School sixth formers dressed up as heroes on Friday 23 October to raise money for the John Thornton Young Achievers Foundation, a charity set up in memory of Lt John Thornton RM who was tragically killed in southern Afghanistan in 2008, and who was a much-loved and admired student at the school.
Year 12 students, James and Jake (pictured), chose to take the theme literally and arrived in school wearing homemade chocolate Heroes boxes.
The sixth formers raised over £300 for the charity.
