Wimborne charity brunch raises funds for local causes
Choirs from local schools performed at the mayor of Wimborne Minster’s charity brunch held at the Olive Branch.
The Mayor’s Charity Choirs Brunch, held at The Olive Branch in Wimborne Minster, brought the community together for a morning of music and celebration, raising £225 for the Mayor’s chosen charities: Millstream Theatre Group and Dorset Community Action.
Choirs from St James First School, Wimborne First School, St Michael’s Middle School, Queen Elizabeth School, and Beaucroft School provided a series of uplifting performances. The morning concluded with a finale by local choir Jubilate.
The Mayor, Cllr Jeff Hart, expressed his sincere thanks to all participating schools, choir leaders, families, and supporters who contributed to the vibrant atmosphere and the fundraising effort. Special appreciation was also extended to The Olive Branch for hosting the event and helping to create a welcoming setting.
“This event highlighted the wonderful talent of our local young people and the strong community spirit we enjoy here in Wimborne,” Cllr Hart said. “We are incredibly grateful to everyone who attended and helped raise funds for two fantastic local organisations.”
